SCL - Leading & Managing Public Libraries

 

The Society of Chief Librarians is committed to ensuring that people who work in libraries have the tools needed to help library customers access life-critical digital resources. This learning programme is for people who work with library customers daily, helping them to access online resources. SCL has developed this tool to ensure that library staff can fluently navigate and use national and local Government information sites, and help support skills development in line with Government's Digital by Default and Assisted Digital services.

Supporting learning is at the core of the library ethos, and SCL wants to make sure that all who work in libraries are confident and competent in delivering this fundamental offer to our communities. This course will give you the background on the digital agenda, and the skills to help customers make the most of their use of digital resources.

All of us who work in libraries are champions--of local people, local issues and local services. Now we need to be Digital Champions. We hope you enjoy the course.
